Linda Hewitt is responsible for the creation of the series Let’s Talk About Race at the Red Bank Public Library. Initiated in August 2015, the series continues now in its fourth year, with over 28 separate monthly evening programs. When speaking with Linda she stresses the collaborative nature of the series. Linda envisioned the series in response to the sentiments of division and lack of diversity, she sensed in the community when she took over the responsibility of adult programming.
The Let’s Talk About Race series was recently recognized by the NJ State Library as a 2018 Multi-Cultural Award winner.
