mcl marie maberSHREWSBURY – Paintings, pottery and sculpture by Marie Maber, Art Professor at the Humanities Institute at Brookdale Community College,  are on display in the lobby and meeting room at Eastern Branch Library, Route 35, through June.

Maber, who teaches art history from ancient through medieval times, has been at Brookdale since 1993, and  holds an undergraduate degree in fine arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of the Arts from Temple University.

During her tenure at Brookdale, Mabel has expanded the use of the CVA Gallery in offering a variety of exhibitions, including opening it to the Teen Arts Festival. She has also used the Gallery as a classroom for new courses in Docent training and Exhibition installation.  She is a former writer and editor for Art Matters and Art Forms magazines and has written articles for several newspapers in Monmouth County and Philadelphia.
