Asbury Park Musical Heritage Foundation International Launch Event

ASBURY PARK, N.J.– We are excited to announce that the inaugural event of the Asbury Park Musical Heritage Foundation will be held at the historic Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel on Saturday, April 28. The evening begins with a ticketed pre-launch cocktail party at 6:30 p.m. Doors open to the public at 7:45 p.m. for the official Foundation launch ceremony with co-founders Susan Pellegrini, Synergy Productions and Tom Gilmour, Director of Economic Development.
Immediately following, guests will enjoy a screening of the film Asbury Park Musical Memories which documents the musical history of the city from the 1930’s through the 1970’s in the words of those who lived it. Included in this rare footage are interviews with Asbury Park musical icons Billy Brown, Bobby Thomas, The Orioles, Bobby Bandiera, Nicky Addeo, Vini Lopez and Willie Mitchell. A recent screening of the film at the Asbury Park Film Festival was met with enthusiastic reviews from the packed house.
To promote community involvement, both the film screening and a one-hour meet and greet afterwards with some of the musicians featured in the film will be open to the public free of charge with advance tickets. Dress is casual chic. Complementary tickets are available at City Hall.
Middletown Library Apps Make "In the Know, on the Go"

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Now it's quicker and easier than ever to find books at the library, get the movies you want, check your account, search online databases, and more. Using your smartphone or tablet computer and the Middletown Township Public Library's new mobile apps, you can be "In the know, on the go!"
It used to be that you had to be inside the library or use your home computer to benefit from the library. Now with the mobile app, library customers can instantly renew their books, find out what to read next, or find out what's happening at the library, virtually anytime anywhere!
The library's mobile-friendly website was first established in January, 2011. The new mobile app will continue the evolution of the library's mobile services, putting the library in your pocket and making it easier and faster for people to get what they want.

Red Bank RiverCenter Announces International Festival

Red Bank, NJ - Red Bank RiverCenter is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Red Bank International Flavour Festival presented by Heineken and The Asbury Park Press, whichwill be held on May 6, 12pm-7pm in downtown Red Bank in the White Street Parking Lot.
This event is rain or shine and is also a fundraiser for Red Bank Regional Buccaneer Athletic Foundation and Red Bank RiverCenter. Admission is only $5.00 for anyone over 13 years of age.
The Red Bank International Flavour Festival will allowpeople to experience a wide variety of international flavors from local restaurants and eateries in Red Bank. This international culinary experience will feature flavors such as Italian, Asian, Mexican, French, American, and many more. To go along with the outstanding food is international beer and wine. Two stages will showcase live bands including different music from around the globe. The Red Bank International Flavour Festival will feature two stages, two beer/wine tents a vast amount of foodsold vendor style. and activities for kids, making this a family friendly event.

Little Silver, NJ - The Red Bank Regional (RBR) Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) Vocal Majors will perform a pair of operas-- Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium, and Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas presented consecutively on Tuesday, May 1, and Wednesday, May 2.
