Project FX Extends Entry Deadline - Student Film Festival

Esteemed Adjudicators include Oscar winner Timothy Hutton, Clerks star, Brian O'Halleran, Oscar nominee James Schamus (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Brokeback Mountain), Sony Pictures Classics Co-President Tom Bernard and others.
RED BANK – The Count Basie Theatre has extended its entry deadline and announced its panel of esteemed judges for PROJECT FX, its statewide student film festival presented by Bank Of America and Sony Pictures Classics.
Students aged 16-25 and presently enrolled in a Garden State-based high school or college now have until midnight on March 1, 2016 to enter their films at www.projectfxbasie.com. The top vote-getter in each category will win a paid internship experience with Sony Pictures Classics in New York, as well as a screening during the first-ever Indie Street Film Festival in Red Bank in July.

The Benefit Dinner is THE major source for funding for FilmOneFest 2016.
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - On Saturday, March 12, guests will enjoy an elegant event at the Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands.
Tickets are $80 per person and include a full buffet dinner, entertainment by pianist Robert Gioffi, and a film presentation. Attendees have a chance to win a movie premier or a private screening at the SONY Screening Room in NYC, and signed movie posters. Cash Bar.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The Township of Aberdeen is seeking information from anyone who may have adopted or privately purchased pitbull puppies from the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen within the past three weeks. People who have been in contact with these puppies are at risk of contracting the rabies virus, which is fatal without medical treatment within a relatively short time of exposure.
If you personally adopted the puppies or observed anyone with a new pitbull puppy, please immediately contact either Holly Reycraft at 732-583-4200 ext. 117 or Brittany Shea at 732-583-4200 ext. 130.

From The Arts Corner (TAC), their home at 135 First Ave., the Arts Council continues to move forward with their longstanding goal of enhancing and strengthening the arts community in Atlantic Highlands and the surrounding areas. With the help of many people and organizations, The Arts Corner is becoming a known community space.
