Atlantic Highlands, NJ - Experience an evening of FilmOneFest celebration on Friday, July 17 at 7pm at the Blue Bay Inn in Atlantic Highlands to kick off the 2015 International FilmOneFest. All are invited to walk the red carpet with filmmakers, judges, artists and stakeholders in the community while being entertained by local blues guitarist Nate Fegan. FilmOneFest awards will be announced, including a Community Leadership Award presented to Mayor Fred Rast for his support and generous contributions to the FilmOneFest.
Hit and Run on Highway 36 - Teenager Flown to Hospital

Middletown, NJ - A 16-year-old girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 36 Tuesday night.
According to George Quackenbush, who identified himself as the girl's uncle, the teenager was walking home from work when she was struck crossing Highway Route 36 at Avenue D. The girl's shoes were found some 15 feet away from where the she landed after being hit.

12th Annual Charity Golf Classic Raises Record Proceeds
BRIELLE, NJ – At its 12th Annual Charity Golf Classic on June 29 at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ, the Charles Lafitte Foundation (CLF) raised a record $1 million for Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, this year’s beneficiary.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The Friends of the Atlantic Highlands Library recently presented their annual language and reading awards to graduating students at Atlantic Highlands Elementary School and Mother Theresa Regional School. The award recipients were selected by the Language Arts/Reading teachers at each school. The Friends of the Library began the awards program in 2007. This year’s winners received a personal journal and a $50 gift certificate to the River Road Book Store in Fair Haven.
