ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The United Methodist Churches of Atlantic Highlands and Navesink will host a Traditional All Saints Jazz Worship Service on Sunday November 1 at 10am. All Saints Day is celebrated by the church each year on the first Sunday in November. It is on this day that those who have gone to meet their God are remembered.
“When we lose loved ones we are sad and we mourn their passing. Our sadness and grief, however, are for ourselves. For the deceased, however, it is their day of Victory! They have met their God and are at home with God. It is what they have been preparing for all their lives. So on this particular Sunday, we lay aside our grief and celebrate their victory over death,” said Reverend Jill Hubbard-Smith.
