HIGHLANDS, NJ - Voters chose to go in a new direction, selecting newcomers Carolyn Broullon (pronouced Brew-Yawn) and Claudette D'Arrigo to fill 2 seats on the Council. Carolyn Broullon earned 426 votes and Claudette D'Arrigo tallied 355.
Incumbents Kevin Redmond got 257 votes and Tara K. Ryan-Killeen garnered 294 votes.
Former Councilman William Caizza declared his candidacy late in the race and did not attend the candidates forum held last week. He got 185 votes.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Democrat Rhonda "Randi" Le Grice won election as Mayor of Atlantic Highlands, defeating veteran Councilman Jack Archibald 791-485 for the four-year term.
Voters returned Democrat Roy Dellosso and gave his running mate, Chamber of Commerce President Chuck Lero a three year term as councilmembers.
Dellosso earned 853 votes. Lero got 783 votes. They defeated Republicans France Karras (424 votes) and James Krauss (445 votes)

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The Second Story Art Gallery presents “The Vignette Project” – an interactive, photographic story telling project by local photographer Gina Cioffi. The event opens on Saturday, November 7 with a reception from 5:00 – 7:00pm at 78 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands. Vignette is free and runs through November 28.

Saretzky to speak on Nineteenth Century New Jersey Photographers on Wednesday, November 18, at the Strauss Mansion Museum in Atlantic Highlands.Atlantic Highlands, NJ: On November 18, the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society hosts Gary D. Saretzky with a profusely illustrated slide lecture on leading photographers working in New Jersey before 1900.
Drawing on his database of about 3,000 pioneering New Jersey photographers, Saretzky will discuss the work of leading shore photographers active in Monmouth County before 1900, including DeHart & Letson, G.W. Pach, J.C. Scott, and Emma Ivins.
