Community Partnership Provides COVID-19 Vaccines and Testing in One Location
RED BANK, NJ – The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County and the VNA of Central Jersey Community Health Centers (VNACJ CHCs) have teamed up to provide COVID-19 vaccines to eligible residents in Monmouth County.
VNACJ CHC is now offering the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine at the Red Bank Family YMCA, in addition to testing for the coronavirus. It is the first satellite vaccination site in New Jersey.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS – Catherine Curtin, a junior at the University of South Carolina, was selected as an Ambassador of the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management (HRSM) for her excellence in both her work and a personal interview for the position.
HRSM ambassadors represent the College and assist with the planning and staffing of many college events including conferences, alumni, and recruiting. Recognized as star students, the ambassadors serve as brand champions for the college and share information to help other students and visitors learn more about all that HRSM has to offer.
Free Radon Test Kits for Holmdel Residents

HOLMDEL, NJ - Mayor Greg Buontempo and the Township Committee have announced that January will be designated Radon Action Month in Holmdel Township. In conjunction with Radon Action Month, the Township will be distributing free test kits for residents to test their homes for radon gas.
In announcing Radon Action Month, Mayor Buontempo shared, “The Township Committee is committed to health and safety concerns. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, but because it is invisible and odorless, many are not aware of the risks.”
Monmouth County has 330 additional positive cases of COVID-19

FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone and County Commissioner Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley have announced that today, Jan. 20, there are 330 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County. There are 16 new deaths being reported today related to COVID-19 in Monmouth County.
The County Commissioners and the Monmouth County Health Department (MCHD) are strongly urging residents to do their part to slow the spread by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible, not gathering in large crowds, washing their hands and staying home when sick.

Age of Covid ends at Arts Council
ATL HIGHLANDS – There are only a few days left to visit the “Age of Covid” juried art exhibit at the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council on First Ave. The exhibit will be removed Following an Open House closing reception Jan. 23 to make way for another display of local and state-wide artistry at the First Avenue art gallery and gift shop.
More than 50 artists have presented a startling array of artwork in a variety of media including in oil, watercolor, pastels, shredded newspaper and three dimensional settings giving vivid images how the Covid pandemic has impacted the person, the area, and the nation.
