PRINCETON – One year ago on April 14, 2020, New Jersey confronted the height of the COVID outbreak in our state. On that date, COVID hospitalizations reached a record 8,270 patients, straining the healthcare system in ways it had never experienced. Hospitals scrambled to add intensive care beds in cafeterias and hallways. Without that emergency action, New Jersey would have run out of ICU beds last April 14.

Freehold Township, NJ – CentraState HealthCare System has initiated a number of targeted, grassroots vaccine outreach and education efforts to ensure local communities and a number of specialized populations have both accurate information and access to COVID-19 vaccinations.
“As a community hospital, we are tasked with an important role in meeting the health needs of our community. This has become especially critical as we work to provide information about and administer vaccinations to fight COVID-19. Waiting for people to come to us for a vaccine simply is not enough - we must meet some neighbors exactly where they are in our local communities,” said John T. Gribbin, president and CEO of CentraState HealthCare System.

FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone and County Commissioner Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley have announced that today, April 10, there are 276 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County. There are two new deaths being reported today related to COVID-19 in Monmouth County.
The County Commissioners and the Monmouth County Health Department (MCHD) are strongly urging residents to do their part to slow the spread by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible, not gathering in large crowds, washing their hands and staying home when sick.
The 200 Club of Monmouth County Supports Long Branch Police Officer Preparing for Kidney Transplant with $5000 Check

Long Branch, NJ – Long Branch Police Officer George Olski was presented with a check for $5000 by Robert Honecker, the President of The 200 Club of Monmouth County, and Ben Lucarelli, the Vice President, to assist with Olski’s medical expenses.
Olski, who has been with the Department since 2002, is suffering from advanced kidney disease and is in need of a transplant. He is married with three young children.
