Award-winning Filmmakers Bring Documentary about Rwandan Ice Cream Shop to Monmouth University

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Filmmakers Lisa and Rob Fruchtman bring their film Sweet Dreams; a documentary about the creation of the first ice cream shop in Rwanda during the aftermath of the 1994 genocide to Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre on Thursday, September 22 at 7:30 pm. The film is free and open to the public. There will be a Q&A with Lisa and Rob Fruchtman immediately following the screening.

Campo Trail into Hartshorne Woods in Middletown to be Dedicated October 1, 2016

MIDDLETOWN, NJ--The completed portion of a trail accessible from Route 36 in Navesink in Campo Woods will be dedicated on October 1, 2016. A bronze plaque commemorating the Campo family’s donation of this land will be dedicated by Middletown Mayor Gerard P. Scharfenberger on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 12:15 pm. The dedication will be on the south side of Route 36, behind Cottage Gate.

TINTON FALLS, NJ - On August 19, residents from the Seabrook Retirement Community made more than 100 sandwiches for distribution to families in need in the local community. This is the sixth year this campaign has taken place in partnership with non-profit group, Bridges at the Shore.
