mac make it togetherA New Collaborative Film Project Connecting Kids with Professional Actors and Directors!

Middletown, NJ – The Middletown Arts Center is accepting scripts for MAKE IT TOGETHER!, a new, national, script-to-video project designed to bring young writers’ imaginations from the page to the theatrical screen.

Every week, the Middletown Arts Center will accept scripts from young playwrights to be realized, rehearsed and produced by a team of professional actors, directors and designers using Zoom; culminating in the sharing of a professionally edited short film.

“MAKE IT TOGETHER! is the filmmaking equivalent of a DIY rainy day craft project, but you get to collaborate with professionals!” said Managing Director and project producer Jake Oliver.

This home-grown project has quickly gained attention and expanded into a national project involving artists and arts organizations from around the country including, most recently, Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York.

Now more than ever, people are coming together to create in all sorts of new and interesting ways. The Middletown Arts Center is excited to provide kids and creative professionals with an outlet to express themselves and share their crafts.
