UPDATE: Information about ownership of the boat was updated to indicate a recent transfer.
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Two people were pulled from a pleasure boat when high winds and strong waves trapped it against the rocks along the Seastreak pier in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor.
At approximately 8:30pm the Atlantic Highlands Fire Department and First Aid & Safety Squad where dispatched to the Seastreak Pier for a reported vessel in distress.
An Atlantic Highlands Fire Department aerial ladder truck deployed its bucket over the bow of the boat and the two men climbed in on their own power.
Both subjects where transported to the hospital for evaluation with no apparent injuries, according to Atlantic Highlands Dep. Fire Marshal Paul Murphy.
The 38-foot JO-LYN IV is registered in New York, NY. A former owner of the boat says it changed hands in September 2015.
Responding units where from Atlantic Highlands Police department, Atlantic Highlands Fire Department, Navesink Hook & Ladder Fire company of Middletown, Atlantic Highlands First Aid & Safety Squad along with Leonardo, Port Monmouth & Lincroft First Aid Squads from Middletown Twsp and the US Coast Guard.
